CAAHEP is a unique programmatic accreditor that works with 25 Committees on Accreditation to review and accredit more than 2,700 programs in 31 health sciences professions, assuring each program meets CAAHEP Standards.

The CAAHEP accreditation is a thorough review of your education program, which includes the program submitting a self-study and that material being reviewed; a site visit conducted - either in person, virtual, or hybrid - concluding with a findings report; the opportunity for the program to address any concerns noted in the findings report; and a recommendation being made by the Committee on Accreditation to the CAAHEP Board of Directors for accreditation action.
Please review the Accreditation Process page for a complete overview of the process, as well as the Standards and Guidelines for your program's profession, and visit the corresponding Committee on Accreditation's webpage for your program's profession for information and helpful accreditation tools. your

It also strengthens our program’s reputation with employers and partner institutions." - Surgical Technology Program Director, December 2025

The employers that hire our students know that every student in our program who graduates has the skills and knowledge to be a successful and reliable Medical Assistant." - Medical Assistant Program Director, September 2025
