What to Expect from the CAAHEP accreditation process

The CAAHEP accreditation is a thorough review of your education program, which includes the program submitting a self-study and that material being reviewed; a site visit conducted - either in person, virtual, or hybrid - concluding with a findings report; the opportunity for the program to address any concerns noted in the findings report; and a recommendation being made by the Committee on Accreditation to the CAAHEP Board of Directors for accreditation action.

Please review the Accreditation Process page for a complete overview of the process, as well as the Standards and Guidelines for you program's profession, and visit the corresponding Committee on Accreditation's webpage for your program's profession for information and helpful accreditation tools. When you feel that you are ready to begin the accreditation process, complete and submit the Request for Accreditation Services Form.
