CAAHEP receives recognition from CHEA. At its September 2011 meeting, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation's Board of Directors reviewed the recommendation of the CHEA Committee on Recommendation and accepted the committee's recommendation and granted recognition to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
At its September 16th meeting, the CAAHEP Board of Directors approved the Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician. These new Standards are now in effect and can be viewed at the following link.
The CAAHEP Board of Directors also approved the Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in Anesthesia Technology and the Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in Human Lactation and Breastfeeding. The CAAHEP Board took accreditation action on 53 programs at its November 18, 2011, meeting. Follow this link to find a CAAHEP accredited program.
